The Nitro Live Icecreamery

It’s hard to imagine but at one-point Felicia was banned from contributing to her old franchise system. She was told that she moved too fast and had too many ideas at one time! Persistence and a leap of faith created the concept for The Nitro Live Icecreamery and a dedicated team made the concept a reality!

After Felicia and her husband retired, they sold their financial planning firm that they owned for almost 10 years and decided to travel the US in their new motorhome. Felicia took her grandson Liam to get ice cream at a local nitrogen ice cream shop and he loved it so much that Felicia decided to purchase the store. After eighteen months of trying to improve the system for herself and franchise owners in her area without any success, she finally decided to create a system of her own.

With the support of her husband Rich they put their motorhome tour of the country on hold and set out to create a company that emphasized what her vision of a good community ice cream store should include.

Felicia’s idea from the beginning was to create, execute and share fresh, good, creamy ice cream using the science of liquid nitrogen in the process. Everything we do keeps the WOW experience for the customer and the ease and efficiency of the staff in mind.

Community is very important to us and we are an active part of our community. We strive to use local suppliers for our ingredients and supplies; created a non-profit focusing on education, kids and women entrepreneurs; and work with local organizations to bring fun and science to those around us.

2. Customer Experience

Our goal is to make every customer experience a fun, sincere, fabulous, exciting, safe and LIVE event that comes as close to perfect as possible.

3. Dietary Options

It is important to us to create a family friendly dessert location where everyone can get what they want as well as the dietary options they need. This is the sole reason that we provide seven different cream bases (Original; Low-Fat; No Sugar Added, Yogurt, Custard, Vegan and Sorbets).

4. Transparency

We go the extra mile for our customers by providing all the nutrition information for every product and the ability to watch how it is made every time. Transparency flows through to our business practices as well. Every crew member that joins our team can learn the ins and outs of how we run the business. We hope this will not only make them better employees when they find their “dream job” but also happier to be part of our team which comes through to the customer in the end.

We’ve all heard the phrase “pass the buck” but at The Nitro Live Icecreamery we prefer the phrase “the buck stops here”. Our corporate team owns the part we play in making sure every customer has a great experience, every supplier we use feels valued and important to our business and every franchise owner has the tools and information to make their store be a place people want to visit as well as be profitable.

6. Enviroment

We are proud of the fact that we have the smallest carbon footprint of ice cream shops out there. We don’t make any ice-cream until you order it, so we don’t need a lot of freezers to hold our product.

7. Education

Science is a big part of how we make our ice cream and having a curriculum developed by science teachers that meets state science standards is a way for us to educate our students and give them a fun treat at the same time.
